At the age of 21, I left my native Montreal for a 3-month trip to Europe. It was both my first flight, my first solo trip and my first backpacking trip. A nice initiative and quite a challenge for the shy and introverted young man I was!

During this long journey, I visited beautiful countries, crossed breathtaking landscapes (the Alps have impressed me) and experienced a lot of exciting adventures. But the most memorable are all those people I met on the road and at the youth hostels. Some of them have been great traveling companions for a few days or a whole week. So many beautiful encounters and just as many heartbreaking farewells!

During these few months of wandering, I discovered the beauty of the world and tasted the feeling of freedom that such a trip provides.

Personally, this is the trip of which I am still very proud today. And I think it was at this moment that my passion for travel began!
