I was alone last night. I was just brushing my teeth when I heard a door open. At first, I thought it was normal but I changed my mind when I heard footsteps. My heart was racing and I was incredibly scared but I was eager to see what was going on. I slowly came down the stairs and that’s when I saw the open door. Someone broke in and left the door wide open. I didn’t know what to do so I quickly closed the door. I heard another sound : it came from the basement. I reached the phone and dialed 911.
