what is a pub?  a PUB IS A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN GATHER. MEET AND HAVE DRINKS;iT IS QUITE A SPECIAL PLACE BECAUSE IT IS TYPICALLY bRITISH AND WE CAN HAVE SOME FUN WITH FRIENDS; 
Generally speaking pubs are open at lunch time for people to have sandwiches at lunch time when they don't go back home at noon. But a pub is mainly open in the evenings , because British people like to ga and have a drink after work in the evenings or to have a bit of a chatt with friends at night. What is qite special is when at midnign when the bell rings and everybody go and get the last drink allowed
