j'ai fait comme j'ai pu, j'espère que se sera comprehensible :

The Cold War, which began in 1947 after the end of the Second World War and ended between 1989 and 1991, was a period of tension and threat of conflict mainly between the two most powerful countries of the time (called superpowers "): the Soviet Union (USSR) and the United States. The world is then divided into two camps, the communist bloc with the Soviet Union, which defends a controlled economy and the suppression of social classes and planned by the state and the Western camp around the United States, which defends a liberal system democratic and capitalist.

It is a war with a lot of fear but without direct battles between the big countries and therefore few deaths.
