Dear mom ,

I’m writing a letter for you now , between the mud , a bunch of insect and a terrible dead rats smell . I’m starting to get lost , this war is driving me crazy , all my friends are dying one by one . I’m trying to think that I have to do it , for a better future , but this is so difficult , I can’t handle it , handle how much pain I feel , when I see them suffering , losing their blood , and , I can’t see you anymore , I can’t see my family , and I don’t even know if I could see you again . Now , I’m resting a bit , other soldier are doing the hard work , in 15 minutes , it will be my turn , but that’s okay I guess ! I can’t chose by myself .

Even if the life conditions are quite difficult , I’m still okay mom , don’t worry , I eat as much as I need and my health is actually perfect , so please , don’t get worry because of me , I just feel a bit sad .

My friends are about to sing now ! Trying to get a little bit of hope in this darkness .
